Can I apply for multiple green cards for different people simultaneously?

Answered by attorney Phong Thanh Tran (Unclaimed Profile)
Immigration lawyer at Law Office of Pho Ethan Tran, PLLC
You can petition for parents and sister at the same time. However, whether they will be eligible to receive a green card or not will depend on the particular circumstances of their case and whether they have previously violated any immigration laws that would require them to apply for a waiver of inadmissibility.

My husband has an over stay in his passport but his visa was still valid'. why. and he has left the US but i filled for his immigrant visa and he will

Answered by attorney Harun Kazmi
Immigration lawyer at Kazmi & Sakata
Hello. His visa does not control his authorized stay. It would be the I-94 that was issue to him (or online) that determined his dates he was legally here. If he overstayed 6 months and left, he will be barred for 3 years(10 years if he stayed overstayed a year).   What type of visa was it? When did you not process for the green card in the US?

Can my husband still apply for a green card if the police only took his information, no fingerprints and let him go?

Answered by attorney David L. Leon
Immigration lawyer at David L. Leon, P.C.
You should probably pull a background check and FOIA request to see what's actually on his record. Most law offices will do this for a few hundred dollars. Once you see what's actually on there, then you can decide what to do.
