You would be able to stay only if your priority date is current and you file an I-485. Filing an I-485 also makes you eligible for an Employment Authorization Document.

It may. In order to properly evaluate the conviction you are going to have to speak with and retain an experienced criminal immigration attorney to advise you accordingly.

Immigration Status Peding

Answered by attorney Jan Joseph Bejar
Immigration lawyer at Jan Joseph Bejar A Professional Law Corporation
Your employment authorization card was issued because you were granted Deferred Action, so you probably have little to worry about.  Because DACA is somewhat of a novelty, it is possible that the Texas DMV has not yet caught onto it.  Each state makes its own rules with regards to drivers license issuance, and while it is difficult to know what they will do in Texas regarding the license, you can relax with regards to your immigraiton status.  You were fingerprinted for DACA and if it was approved you are probably not considered a high priority case.  While DACA is a good way to be stable and be able to move about freely without fear of imminent deportation, keep in mind it is not a permanent fix, and you should look for a means to obtain permanent residence.  If you wish to consult on this matter, feel free to call me at (619) 291-1112 Sincerely, Jan Joseph Bejar, Esq., For: JAN JOSEPH BEJAR, A Professional Law Corporation
