Can I ask immigration to let me go back or can my son ask for me?

It is not usual to get a 'voluntary deportation' at the door of citizenship. What was the crime? Your son can petition you when he reaches 21 years old.

If I've won the green card lottery, can my spouse work under my green card or does he need to apply for his own Visa?

If you won the DV lottery, the benefits also extend to your spouse and children under 21 years of age. They will need to submit their own immigrant visa applications or adjustment of status.

Is that true that while one's application for Marriage Based Adjustment of Status is pending one can still travel outside and back again in the US?

You should not travel without either a travel permit or green card. And not everyone should be applying for a travel permit. It depends upon whether you have overstayed your last entry.
