I had a possesion conviction 20 years ago can i be denied citenzship

Answered by attorney David Troy Cox
Immigration lawyer at CoxEsq, PC
It would take some research to fully answer your question.  Do you have all the paperwork related to the conviction?  If not, that would be a good place to start.  You'll have to get it from the court that convicted you.

Can i leave the country if my spouse visa is expired?

Answered by attorney Lynne Rogers Feldman
Immigration lawyer at Feldman Feldman Associates, PC
I am not sure what you are calling the "spouse visa." You can always leave but you may want to check with an immigration attorney if you are interested in coming back to advise you on your rights especially if you have overstayed your visa. If you're I-94 card still has time left you may leave and surrender it at the border and should be fine to return in any other category for which you are eligible.

In her case, it's probably better for you to get married in HK and then petition for her. If you want more information, you can contact our office.
