Jennifer was nice & a good enough divorce lawyer. I was disappointed in the fee & was told my divorce was $2500. I paid this initially, so said nothing when at our appointments she stepped out to deal with & took phone calls from other clients, & even counseled them at the courthouse on my court date. When everything was said and done, I was billed for a few hours extra, & thought she should have subtracted this since she billed other clients in my presence for some of this same time.
Most judges, especially Judge Jason Spears when he was in family court, were afraid of not siding with her. They didn’t want to have to deal with her appeals,so whoever she represented had a good chance of a decision in their favor.
She does an okay job (not exceptional by any means) in the court room, but will continue to bill you for unnecessary measures after being relieved from counsel. She doesn’t handle communication professionally and even takes jabs at her own clients. I was not impressed. You will also get many letters with new billing that says that you owe more than the retainer because “This is not a normal case” when in fact it is a normal case. Expect to spend 7k for her to show up to court 3 times.
