I hired Mrs Upshaw to represent my daughter in an IEP meeting, She advise me to let her do the most talking. I Feel as if nothing was accomplished, the result was “we will reconvene until next school year”. I am not sure if there was not enough communication, I expressed that was one of the problems for two years, but when staff collect insufficient data the results is same cycle. She stated that if your daughter start in fall of 2020 and no results you can contact me again. And the issues were, placement, assistive technology, fba. And I provide Mrs Upshaw with substantial evidence that the team is saying one thing and doing another in the classroom that was the purpose of me contacting a lawyer.
I was hoping to have Ms. Upshaw represent me for a custody case because she claims to want to save Georgia's juveniles... However I recently found out that she was going to represent a woman who savagely murdered a 2 year old baby girl... Idk about you but that def doesn't sit right with me... How can you defend children yet also defend someone who brutally murders one...
Ms. Upshaw has definitely changed her stripes. In 2020 she was unresponsive, rude, uncaring and lack professionalism. Demanded and received payment and refused to schedule my consult. Did not communicate with me until 2 days prior to my court hearing. She tries to be intimidating, however, she is listed along with several others pending a Civil Federal lawsuit. She pretends very well when you, the client, has something to relate to her in the way of evidence, or other materials, relevant to your case. However the bottom line when it comes to standing up for the client she doesn't do it. (Scam)
