There was an extra consultation fee that occurred (in my opinion) due to an incidental administration error on the part of Miller Johnson that prompted me to contact Miller Johnson. Why I should be charged for a phone call to correct their error is unclear to me, but I did not pursue recompense vigorously. The error was corrected promptly but the fee stood... otherwise my experience with Miller Johnson was very satisfying.
Joe Doele represented me in my divorce case and couldn’t have done a worse job. Here are just a few examples of how poorly Joe handled my case. Lack of attention to detail, doesn’t return phone calls, doesn’t send an invoice out for month a and was always incorrect, zero technical skills as far as using a laptop or being able to format the simplest of legal documents and finally is an awful person. I would stay as far away as possible from Joe and if you don’t believe me, ask any attorney about him in West Michigan and they will tell you all sorts of stories. Just ask why he was fired from Miller Johnson law firm. He will spin it by saying that he wanted to go off and work for himself, but don’t buy it and ask around town since he has a terrible reputation both work and personal.
I've recommended them to clients & businesses but no more. We hired them to facilitate the process of getting an H2A Visa for a family member. Started the process at the beginning of the year, they never follow up, deadlines were always waited until the last possible moment, forms rejected, and contant "...well because of Covid we're" backlogged, short staffed, whatever their excuse was. Being short staffed & backlogged sure didn't stop them from getting THEIR invoices out on time but they didnt have a care in the world to do our work in a timely manner. Here we are in October/November and nothing was accomplished & they called to say "Oops, visas are all gone for the year. Good luck, bye bye." What a waste of money, stress & aggravation.
