Worst experience I have ever had with a lawyer. By far the WORST LAW FIRM EVER. $6000 wasted on a firm who racks up the bill Unnecessarily. I still dont have the answers I so badly needed and wanted.
The biggest issue I faced was a lack of clear strategy and communication which drew things out. I ended up hiring a different lawyer and my case was resolved within a week. My new lawyer had a clear proactive strategy and the ability to provide time and attention for my case. She also had an effective strategy that Ms. Hopkins had never suggested. I am confident my case would not have resolved at the first hearing if I had stay with Hopkins Law Firm.
I wouldn't recommend her. She was paid a lot and accomplished nothing. $20,000 in, nothing settled. She failed to file for divorce, failed to file a court date, failed to forward a settlement offer, failed to provide advice or answer questions. The only thing she didn't fail to do was bill me.
Had to pay $5,000 retainer for divorce. Met with Michelle Hopkins. Thought I found good lawyer. Spent over $10,000 and never even got to speak again with Michelle. My husband controlled ALL financial - I ended up with nothing. After divorce, ex continued to violate custody agreement. Called firm for assistance. Was told have to pay $15,000 up front to speak to Michelle Hopkins. This firm is concerned about money - I did not receive anything I set out to in child custody or divorce.
Great people make this a great practice should you need the services they offer. You are treated with dignity and respect and you are never just a number. I would highly recommend this practice.
