After over a year and a half of filing for a divorce was not reminded of costs of mediation even after talking with lawyer Jared Kocurek before any mediation fees were sent to his office. There were fees for scheduling mediation of 125.00 of which supposedly took 50 min, canceling mediation or sending letter to client of 62.50 which supposedly took 25 minutes which was could have been done by a paralegal or secretary. Mediation was scheduled/rescheduled 3 times and was not reminded of fees.
Case took 3 years!! My attorney changed 4 times within 3 years. No one ever knew what was going on in my case besides me. Due to my own diligence my case was won, but not with these people's help. They didn't file any paperwork in timely fashion. Didn't get the needed forms filed correctly twice, because these people "forgot". They truly tried to let my case slip between the cracks. They still didn't file all paperwork before case ended! These people put my child's life in jeopardy due to their negligence. Even head boss man called me, not realizing I had already picked up, saying " I hope she doesn't answer" Wow. People of the public, I implore you to find the money, do your research on your firm selections and go elsewhere. These people are obviously the bottom of the barrel. Take notes, record what you can, keep all copies of your paperwork, especially with these people. Always, always, always, read before you sign. These people will try to slip one past you.
Poor service. Had to hire someone new because they were non-responsive, always took multiple phone calls and emails to get any sort of response, even after support staff promised returned calls. Charged for discovery, but attorney assigned to our case never actually reviewed any of the discovery. At mediation, she provided no pushback to the opposing party. There was no prep nor strategy entering mediation. Allowed all delay tactics and missed deadline by opposing. Hiring new attorney we found there were changes in legislation that applied to our case that could have drastically changed things, however the delays and not finding this out until the last minute had a negative impact. When we tried to recoup some of the legal fees, their justification for denying was that the manhours worked answering calls and emails exceeded what we had paid. There was no bill summary for this. And no consideration that the multiple calls and emails were necessary due to not returning the calls
I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with this law firm in hopes of helping others avoid the same frustration. I retained Ms. Charsalyn Mitchell to represent me in a sensitive custody matter, and unfortunately, the service I received was far below the standard of competent legal representation. Please keep in mind I am the petitioner in this case. From the very beginning, there were multiple issues: lack of communication, disorganization, and an overall lack of preparation that directly impacted my case. Ms. Mitchell routinely missed deadlines, failed to follow through on basic tasks like serving paperwork, and left me to represent myself in court after she declined to appear for a hearing, despite knowing I had been served with paperwork.She informed me I had to request a continuance on my own, which was incredibly overwhelming and unprofessional on her part. The other option was to represent myself and give the judge my evidence. I was not informed on
Cooper Carter showed up for Tiffany Daniels which was my friend’s attorney. My friend ended up in jail after the hearing. Cooper Carter showed up late to the hearing not prepared or anything. Not one person has return calls my friend is sitting in the jail 5 days for nothing paying child support which is due 9/1 (in the future) and not one person has reach out to her in jail from this attorney’s office. I have called over 10 times. Spoke with Mr. Marx today he said he would get back to me nothing. All terms on the courts documents have been met but my friend is still sitting in jail. I called again today and Rod is supposed to call me nothing. Nobody cares about you at this law firm beware. If you go to jail they don’t help. Cooper Carter also didn’t talk to my friend’s husband after the court hearing she snuck out of the court house. Also the other side of the case has been calling and emailing this law firm no response as well. Just unbelievable. Please pray my friend gets out
To all my veteran family and friends this place is a rip off. I never received any recommendation from my so call law Mr. O’Brien no phone calls I been a client for four months and my case still not resolve I been calling the the office the secretary telling me my lawyer will call me in 24 to 72 hours I still waiting on that call. So I’m out of $2000 my fault of paying all the money up Front I thought I was getting good service.

I'm guessing that they get away with robbing people because they are of the least expensive (CHEAPEST) firms and they offer payment plans...the people that are conned by them do not have the resources to sue them for negligence/malpractice. Do not ever hire "Attorney" J.R. O'Brien or anyone that works for (Rod)erick Marxs, Richard Johnson. Shame on you crooks!
The absolute worst Law Firm ever! Aaron benter was absolutely the worst representation you could get! I believe she actually worked for the other law firm! Ron Marx shame on you! Whatever you do do not use this firm if you have children are property or any thing of value you will lose it if you use them! I had a simple divorce I'm disabled no property no children no debt and they managed to screw it up! Learn from my mistake go anywhere But Here!
Do not be persuaded by the affordable prices because u get what u pay for. I wish I could go back in time and find another attorney but the damage has been done. They tell u phone calls and emails are free and that is because they do not return phone calls or emails . Even if u call for help because ur ex is court ordererd to pay the utilities and ur water and electricity has been shut off or when u get notice that your house is going into foreclosure because ur ex isn’t paying the mortgage.
