When I needed a Divorce lawyer Joshua Tourkow had the experience I was looking for and was quick to respond. He took the time to listen and understand my issues,he handled my case outstandingly and I would highly recommend him to anyone going through a divorce.
I was turned over to John Cowan a member of the firm when my selected attorney became a member of the bankruptcy court. My dealings with him and the firm have been straight forward and settled. There were some periods when I felt that my case was not considered as top priority even though immediate legal action was pending. This created some frustration on my part and delay in handling my case. Parts of which are still being settled. I know part of the action was due to my financial situation.
Did not recommend some critical(in my opinion)actions; like having the house appraised.
I relied Mr. Cowan to look out for me and advise me during my divorce as an attorney should. He did not advise me to remove my name from the loan on the home I shared with my husband. Consequently, my husband defaulted on the loan three months after our separation, and the foreclosure of our home stained (what was) my good credit for seven years.
He was advised of every detail of my custody/parenting time case and my expectations during consultation. He advised that my expectations were reasonable and gladly accepted my retainer. When it came down to negotiation and mediation, he laid down like an abused dog and said "well that's the best you're gonna get."
No communication after calling, plus emailing. I do NOT recommend, altho Mr Rosenblatt has been a blessing in my life. It’s sad others joined the firm that brought reputation down. Such a shame. A place I remembered as GOOD has taken a tumble.
Working with this lawyer was a terrible experience. This team was not attentive to details and not transparent regarding their relationship with the other defendant attorney and the arbitrator until the day of arbitration. Be cautaious of this firm.
