I was charged with domestic violence and trespassing. In my mind and the mind of most people, my charges were false. However proving these charges to be false was going to be a huge challenge. Eric was able to convince the District Attorney to drop all of the charges. Needless to say, Eric A. Sunness earned every dime that I paid him. I will always be grateful that I hired him.
Eric made a tough and frustrating time in my life manageable. Every time that I had an issue come up in my divorce Eric had it handled before I truly knew what they meant. Many times I would walk into Eric's office frustrated beyond belief and then found myself leaving calmed down and actually happy. Sadly I have had a few friends go thru divorce's recently and I recommended Eric to them. They both had a great experience with Eric as well.
After receiving back to back DUI's I was facing up to a year of jail time with one year of probation. I sought out the assistance of Mr. Sunness who went above and beyond the call of duty even after my trial. He was very personable and made my situation a lot easier. With his help I received two weeks of jail time with minimal probation. He and his staff are great and caring people to work with. I would recommend him to anyone who needs legal advice.
I am very pleased with the outcome of my case. I was charged with a class IV Felony for theft. I was facing two to six years in prison and three years of mandatory parole. Mr. Sunness was able to get me an unsupervised deferred sentence for one year with no jail time, no supervised probation and no Useful Public Service. He really came through for me. He was very knowledgeable and listened to my concerns and fears. If you are facing jail time contact him, he can and will be able to help.
I was very pleased with my experience and the outcome of my situation. I felt that Eric handled my case with pristine care and did everything he could to have a positive outcome for me. I was originally convicted of a DUI and was told I was going to lose my driver’s license for a year. Eric was able to drop the charges down to a DWAI and I did not lose my license which was huge for me! I would definitely use him again in the future and recommend any of my friends or family to him.
I faced 13 felonies. Mr. Sunness was able to get it reduced to 1 felony. I faced 4-12 years in prison, but received 4 years of probation and 320 hours of community service instead. I am so very grateful to Mr. Sunness and his staff for guiding me through this process and allowing me to continue on with my life after the horrible mistake I made.
Eric helped me out of a tough situation when I made a childish mistake. He is a mature and responsible individual who knows his line of work. Not once did he treat me like a criminal, but rather, like a fellow human being. Anyone in legal trouble would be downright stupid to not seek his help. Thanks Eric!
I have three major complaints with how he handled my case. 1) He didn’t make any effort to meet with me to prepare for the case or to thoroughly discuss the plea deal; 2) He didn’t seek out all available evidence, and 3) I believe he provided me with false legal information.
