There are a lot of privacy laws around pension information. This may be legitimate. In general, only the person named as beneficiary has access to all of the information. You can send a letter demanding that the benefits be paid to you stating who you are and your relationship to the decedent. Send it certified mail, return receipt requested. That will get their attention and register that you are making a claim. Best wishes,
