I had a lengthy and complex divorce, and from day one working with Maria has been nothing short of fantastic. She was extremely hard working and dedicated and I always felt very well represented. She remembered details of the case that I even had forgotten about. She was very confident on all our court appearances and very thorough on her correspondence. Ms. Velez and her staff were very empathetic towards me which was very comforting. Her fees were very reasonable and flexible. She is not the best attorney for divorce/ child support. I am so surprised, being a single mother is now hard and I got screwed! And my new attorney found all kinds of mistakes 1 being one of my kids wasn’t even calculated in the child support!!!!! All that money I paid her. Ridiculous! Choose someone who will really fight for you and not waste your money.
Maria is more than willing to take your money and not tell you what it's going to but will not return your calls nor follow through on the case. I retained her in a family law matter, when I finally get her on the phone her excuse is that she has a heavy case load. Then why take thousands of dollars of my hard earned money if you can't tend to your load? She's a fraud!
