How can my wife be entitled to any part of my veterans affairs pension?

Sounds like your pension is your separate property. You should talk to an attorney to help you. VA probably will need to see copy of court order/judgment confirming that it's your separate property.

Shortened divorce

Answered by attorney Diana L. Anderson

If both parties agree to the terms, skip the lawyer and the mediator.  Write up the agreement, get both parties to sign, and use the pro se (without an attorney) packets that you can find on the New Jersey Judiciary website.  You will have to follow the process carefully, but you can do this yourself, if you are short on funds and agree to the terms.

Can an attorney subpoena bank statements and loan papers from a spouse and have them by Dec. 12th 2013 (almost 2 weeks)?

First you should contact an attorney, they will know how to subpoena records and other information. Do not try to do this alone as the other party is most likely represented by counsel.
