Unless you had some kind of employment contract, you could be what is called an "at will" employee and therefore be fired for no reason.

Can I take our car from my wife since it’s in both our names?

Answered by attorney Cassandra T Savoy (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Cassandra T. Savoy, PC
There is no self-help in the State of New Jersey. If you can not negotiate the car, you probably need to file an action with the court.

For an ncontested divorce, what happens if I do not file a pettition response?

Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
In order for your divorce to be uncontested, there must be a petition, an agreement, and an answer to the petition. If you do not file the answer to the petition, it will be a contested divorce. So, by not filing what you can a response petition petition, you will defeat the purpose of being able to file an uncontested proceeding.
