How do I get my personal belongings back from my previous marital home?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
You have two choices, either do it by agreement, which should be in writing, or by going to the court commencing the divorce case and getting in order to allow you to retrieve and remove the personal belongings. Your wise and correct to bring witnesses with you if there is issues of verbal or physical abuse. If you're in the house, or certain items are refused you, make sure you get pictures in order to provide evidence to the court later. Given the fact that you are about to be divorced, apparently, I would suggest engaging in attorney as quickly as possible.

What can I do if my ex husband has unpaid spousal support?

Divorce lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
I would have to look at the judgment to determine if the spousal support is modifiable and therefore a risk that it could be changed. Generally the way to enforce an order is to go back to court.

Answered by attorney Barbara Peyton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peyton & Associates
You are entitled to that portion of his 401k that was acquired during your marriage and before you became separated. Yes. You do need to file papers to protect your interest in that asset. Seek help from the family law facilitator in your county. they are usually located at the family law court house.
