What can I do if my ex is two months behind in paying alimony?

Answered by attorney David Ari Goldberg
Divorce lawyer at The Goldberg Legal Group
You are likely going to have to file another contempt against your ex and request that he pay your attorney fees. If you are out of state, you will probably need to hire a local attorney to handle the case.

Answered by attorney Barbara Peyton (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peyton & Associates
Both parties have to be unmarried with a court judgment that says so if either has ever been married. If your boyfriend does not have a judgment of dissolution of marriage, any marriage to you will constitute bigamy and be invalid.

Under Florida law, it may be possible, as it is a long term marriage, if all of the necessary factors are there. You need to consult with an attorney though in order to best determine your potential rights and options.
