Do I need to annul my current wife before I can get married again?

Answered by attorney Robert Andrew Michael Burns (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Office of Robert Burns
You cannot legally marry wife # 2 while married to wife # 1. I'd consult an attorney or the Family Law Facilitator with the Court's file for the divorce case and see if the termination date for the marriage was before the 2nd marriage and, if not, if the judgment can be amended "nunc pro tunc" (retroactively) to a date before the 2nd marriage was entered. Otherwise, your 2nd marriage is invalid and the solution thus would seem to be to get married again and sign an agreement that marital law will govern your relationship between the dates of your invalid marriage and your valid marriage to wife # 2 as if you were validly married the entire time.

No. If a divorce of paternity action has been filed a parent, or another person, cannot remove the child from the state without court order.
