Tresspassing Charge from being drunk in a casino, could I avoid the charge? Arrest record be expunged?

Answered by attorney Marshall S. Tauber
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Marshall S. Tauber
Yes it can be expunged 5 years later if this is your one & only conviction for anything. Bad idea to handle this plan without counsel. Do you try to do a tooth examination without a dentist? No lawyer could mean the difference between case dismissed & record of conviction.

Do I cooperate and pay this fine along with community service that has been requested over the phone from out of state?

Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
This sounds like a scam to me. If they think they have enough on you to arrest you, they will. If you cannot afford an attorney the public defender can be appointed for you. It would be a good idea to get counsel.

What other actions can the bar be held accountable for?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
Under the innkeeper's acts, it is common for a bar to be potentially liable for the injuries caused by serving and intoxicated individual. However, that such individual commits an intervening intentional criminal act would generally not give rise to a liability to the innkeeper.
