How can the male avoid criminal consequences if a female lied about a domestic abuse case?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
Get an attorney, do not take the plea offer, and go to trial. Have the victim get an attorney that can help her make decisions about whether to take the stand in the case, if she has been subpoenaed per law, and if she will invoke right not to incriminate herself if called to witness stand once things are set in motion, it is very difficult to stop them without attorney help.

Can I file statutory rape charges a year after?

Mark Corwin Bruce
Answered by attorney Mark Corwin Bruce (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office M. C. Bruce
The new charge is extortion. Call the local police and show them the emails threatening to post photos. In California the statutory rape charge doesn't go away for 3 years.

How do I get my car back that was seized in a drug arrest when had no knowledge that a crime was being committed?

Answered by attorney Joel Dee Hand
Criminal Law lawyer at Hand Ponist
There very likely could be a civil forfeiture action that has been filed by the State seeking permission for the police to be able to keep the car. As the owner of the vehicle, you would have a right to be represented in any civil forfeiture action and should immediately seek your own attorney.
