If the inmate has not had a trial on the case, the inmate files a motion to represent himself and files a discovery motion. IF the inmate has had a trial, and does not have his discovery, he will not be getting it.

What happens during the session with my probation officer?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
The probation officer is not your friend. Say as little as possible and you should take an attorney with you. But how can you be on probation if you never pleaded guilty? This may just be pre-trial term like drug testing and staying away from the accused.

My son is on probation in one county and has a violation already and recently got a second one . What are chances of revokation?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
He has an excellent chance of being filed on for revocation. The first condition of probation is that you commit no other crime while on probation. It may be possible to get the probations continued if there is a reasonable explanation for the new offense of drug or other difficulties that need to be addressed. If not, the sentence may be reduced by good work by his attorney.
