Should I cancel a polygraph test?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
A polygraph test is inadmissible in court, however it could lead to some information that might be used against you. Remember, anything you say can and will be used against you. You say nothing about the crime to which you have been accused. I would recommend canceling the polygraph test until you have consulted with an attorney and only then make a determination about whether or not to submit to such a test.

What will happen if a police report is filed against me?

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
Typically, attorneys do not like their clients speaking to the police without them present, if at all.  There are legalities that can affect an individual even when they believe they are just trying to tell their side of the story.  i would encourage you to consult with a lawyer if you are contacted by the police.  You may want to even consult an attorney before you are contacted by the police.  I believe they will tell you the same thing--don't speak to anyone without the consultation of your lawyer.
