Do i have the right to view the evidence against me

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn

There is no problem with the attorney getting discovery to show you, ask him to show you the probable cause affidavit and police report. If this is a felony you can look at the indictment to see what you are charged with, if a misdemeanor look at the Information. Hope this helps.

Do I need an attorney for a mother and daughter family dispute?

Gregory Casale

Sadly, you should have an attorney if you have a criminal charge, especially if the County has a no drop policy as you say. You can try to go in on your own for one appearance and see if the DA will drop the charges. If they are unwilling you can then hire an attorney for the next appearance. However, if you are unrepresented, you need to be very careful about what you say. If you give the Da any information that he/she can use against you they will use it. That's one of the many reasons you have an attorney.

Am I protected by the first amendment if I wear something in protest to the war?

You don't say whether or not you are in a public or private school. If the school is private, the school can dictate what you can and cannot wear. If it is a public school, the school may still be able to regulate what you wear if it is deemed that your wearing apparel and colors are gang related. The bottom line test is whether or not the public welfare is impacted. To give you an example: You cannot yell "fire" in a crowded theater. I would need to know more before I can effectively answer your question.
