You can see if the court will adjourn the court date. However, it may not matter because they may not let you complete diversion with a pending charge. Usually, one of the terms of diversion is not to pick up any new charges. You're going to have to stop stealing stuff or else you're just going to get into more trouble and it will really effect your life.
