How do I defend myself?

You need to hire a good lawyer. You cannot successfully defend yourself on a charge like this. The court system is not meant for lay people to defend themselves. The court does not give courtesy to people who defend themselves. They are expected to know the rules of evidence and procedure, just as any lawyer would be expected to know. The court will appoint an attorney for you if you can't afford one, but either way, you need a good lawyer.

Not if it is listed on the federal or state drug category listings. Hundreds of things are, but I don't see reference to this one.
