Attorneys at this firm caused more harm to my child's school status than when I reached out to obtain representation in the first place. First attorney came into a legal proceeding and gave untrue testimony, despite billing me for many hours of case review beforehand. Then, in the middle of my case and without any warning, I receive a generic letter from the firm saying the current representing attorney is going out on medical, leaving me with someone wholly unfamiliar with my child's nuanced case. New attorney was completely unprofessional in conduct, wasted thousands of dollars debating word choice in documents with the school district, despite having a verbatim doctor's order to use as reference and even being left with a final educational plan riddled with typos and grammatical incongruities, and billed me for eight hours of work to complete a one page document for a court filing I never agreed to. I'm appalled at this firm's unscrupulous and seemingly exploitive representation

I was told by multiple people that SGW were the best in the field of Special Education. While this may be true, they didn't seem to show an ounce of care or understanding with our situation. We needed to repeat ourselves multiple times and they still got critical pieces of information wrong. We received very limited communication and were essentially alienated for most of the time. Our son's educational placement only got worse while we were trying to put our trust in this firm. When I questioned their commitment to our case, they began sending formal letters instead of e-mails - which cost much more. Every piece of communication came at a cost. The school confirmed our fears that the team we had hired to help us, sided with the school. I could go into much deeper details, but the moral of the story is find an attorney that doesn't treat you like a bank account and actually has empathy for your child and LISTENS to your concerns.
