Cathy R. Cook, Attorney at Law is a law firm established in 1990 with an office in Cincinnati, OH. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing family law-alimony, cohabitation agreements, divorce and 13 other areas of law.
Cathy is not like the stereo-typical attorney. She is extremely down to earth, approachable, and unassuming. She is efficient, knowledgeable and direct. I had approximately three meetings with her to get my job done. By comparison to other friends who have gone thru divorce, my costs were miles lower. I'd recommend Cathy and have done so many time.
My divorce took 3 years as the judge had to rule on everything from false accusations to our proposed settlement offers. Cathy did not stoop to the level that my wife and her attorney did. Cathy's goal was to get a settlement offer that was fair to all while minimizing the negative impact on our post divorce relationship. I wanted revenge, Cathy did not go there. She said revenge will come with the final settlement. She was right and managed to get $12K of expenses reimbursed by my now ex-wife.
Cathy is a very honest, hard working, cut to the chase attorney. She always was focused on the interest of my children. Cathy and her staff always have very prompt responses to phone calls and emails. She fought very hard for my situation and I would recommend her any one who is need of legal council.
I had an horrible Experience with Ethan Arenstein he was completely unexperienced, and was a yes man. He took my money and Im not sure what I got for it. He had an unwillingness to win and he was very dishonest. He didnt even know how to formulate questions for my trial. He is incompetent and is in desperate need of training.
Cathy Cook is rude, pompous & showed no concern for me as a client. The billing is questionable, and if you do call to question it - youre billed for that TOO! She was not timely in follow up and, as a result, I was unable to file objections. The associate that represented me left her firm & I was never informed. I'm now stuck with THOUSANDS in fees and have nothing to show for it.
Sounded annoyed that I was calling every time we spoke, even though she was billing me for the time (and rude!). Her paralegal screwed up sending paperwork to my ex's attorney, while billing me $125/hr for the services. Did NOTHING for me in the way of child support other than have her paralegals fill out forms--even showed up to court, walked right past me, and had to have me paged because she didn't know who I was. She took THAT little of interest in my case. I would NOT recommend using her!!
She took almost no interest in my case - Contempt of Court, just told me I was wrong and pay whatever my ex-wife was asking for. With another lawyer I was able to settle for less than half of what Ms. Cook told me to pay. She was very slow to respond to my questions and basically did absolutely nothing for me. All she did was take my money.
