I Googled Patent Attorneys in Chicago, and Patrick popped up near the top of the search results. After comparing several of the results, I decided to give him a call. He was very professional and informative and asked a lot of questions of me to help him fully understand my needs and provide the right course of action. I had a great feeling that Patrick was the right man for the job, and we were able to accomplish my goals within our time frame at a great value for my money.
Patrick Richards took the time to personally return all my phone calls and answer any questions I had, promptly. He does not delegate his duties and will personally see that you are taken care of. Along with an impressive resume, Patrick Richards has courtroom experience in dealing with patent infringement so he knows the in's and out's of preparing a proper provisional/non provisional patent application. This is a very important advantage to the inventor. I highly recommend Patrick Richards.
Patrick Richards has been instrumental in helping me get my medical device to where it is today. His background expertise in the engineering field, professionalism, as well as his passion for working with individual/independent inventors, are defining qualities that makes him most valuable to individual physicians developing medical devices, such as myself. I am very fortunate to have him as my patent attorney. I look forward to working with him on the many patents I have coming in the future.
Patrick was able to quickly understand the engineering behind the patent and the business model for how the patent would be used. Based on this, he developed the most efficient and cost effective course of action. He exceeded all of my expectations in terms of the quality and thoroughness of the final documentation prepared.
Working with Patrick Richards has made a world of difference in the development of my medical device. His engineering background coupled with his in-depth knowledge for IP law has translated the vision, which I have had for many years, into well protected intellectual property of which is my greatest pride. Most admirable is his ability to motivate and inspire a busy professional like myself, to get the patent is completed in a timely fashion. I highly recommend Richards Patent Law to anyone.
Extremely competent and the thing I like most is that if the legal work I want done is not cost effective instead of running up a fee Patrick tells me not to do it.
The caliber of Patrick's services has been excellent while at the same time economical. Patrick has handled complex intellectual property issues for us while standing by his cost estimates. He is extremely responsive and does an excellent job of explaining complex IP situations to clients in layman terms.
Mr. Richards was able to work with, and meet my filing deadline.
Patrick's efficient work kept our costs down and he was always accessible by phone or email. Patrick also made it a point to work with us in person on several occasions to ensure we had the guidance we needed. As our company continues to work with complex intellectual property issues we will continue to seek Patrick’s guidance. We highly recommend Patrick Richards to anyone in need of an intellectual property attorney.
