We discovered online that Mr. Field was available for a 30-minute consultation at a very reasonable rate. My daughter and I had a three-way phone appointment with him last week to discuss a possible case of sexual harassment and a retaliatory firing at my daughter's place of work. While Mr. Field did lay out her options after being provided with the necessary facts/details, he asked my daughter not a single question, gave vague only noncommittal responses to my concrete follow-up questions, and shared almost no ideas (creative or legal) re an approach to my daughter's case - except to hire him or another attorney. Mr. Field spoke in a monotone and seemed uninterested in her situation. He was either preoccupied with something else or is merely a lackluster attorney. My daughter came away with an identical impression and was very disappointed. If we decide an attorney would be helpful to my daughter's case, I can assert with confidence that we will seek a different person in that role.

He did not show up to my case prepared at all. I had all my evidence to which he allowed the opposing party to question me on the stand and only asked the opposing party a few questions. He was no responsive in email to me or the opposing parties lawyer. At one point when I questioned him he sent me and email to terminate our relationship. He also asked for more money stating I had went through the retainer.

He should be disbarred by the states he is licensed in. He stole my money and did not provide the service that I hired him for. Any attorney who takes money & doesn't provide the service is a thief and this is what James Elliott Field is. A thief, con-artist, crook any derogatory name to do with a fraudster is what he is. His license should be revoked by the state.
