Paid for Real Estate Legal Advice, Had to Educate the Attorney Instead I hired Met Lane for a one-hour consultation regarding dual agency conflicts in my Georgia real estate transaction. Unfortunately, the consultation was completely unproductive and actually made my situation worse. The specific issues: - I paid $350 for legal advice on dual agency conflicts in my brokerage agreement - Instead of receiving guidance, I spent the entire hour explaining to Mr. Lane why dual agency creates conflicts of interest - He admitted he had “not considered” these issues before - Rather than providing written advice or strategy, he simply called my listing agent (whom he had recommended) and asked him to drop the dual agency - The agent immediately canceled my listing, leaving me with no MLS exposure and lost time What I expected: Professional analysis of my agreement, written recommendations, and a strategy to strengthen my negotiating position as a seller.
My experience was horrible They are money hungry and never case for your case. They are manipulative. They will never follow up your case only after your money. Very uncomfortable place and you will never want to go back there for any reason at all
I would never recommend this law firm to anyone. When you hire an attorney, they are supposed to work for you. Met does not listen; does not do as you ask - never would ask for estate financials; would not inquire about the language of my children’s inheritance- they forfeited it; Met does not remember your case from one meeting to the next - which is extremely costly to the client; Met doesn’t return phone calls in a timely manner nor does his staff give him messages. If Met doesn’t think something is important - conversation over. Now for his staff! I paid Met over $30,000 for Leslie to breach client confidentiality; to drop the F bomb 4 times on the phone while talking to the head of Hospice; to lose Hospice records on the receptionist desk for 9 days (then ask me how that damaged me); to tell me to shut the Fuc! up; to constantly put me on indefinite hold when I called the office and to treat me like crap. Not a good or professional experience for over $30k.
