About Jordan M. Atin

Jordan M. Atin joined Hull & Hull in 1999 and is one of the firm’s counsel.

Jordan is an adjunct professor at Osgoode Hall Law School. In 2004, Jordan was appointed as one of Ontario’s first certified specialists in Estates and Trusts Law.

He is the past chair of the Ontario Bar Association Estates Section and a full member of the Society for Trust & Estate Practitioners.

Mr. Atin was the inaugural recipient of the Hoffstein Prize, recognizing his contribution and achievements in estate law.

Jordan is the co-author of The Family War – Winning the Inheritance Battle and appears on TV as an expert on estate matters.

He is a frequent chair and presenter at Osgoode Hall Law School, Ontario Bar Association and Law Society of Upper Canada programs on estate matters. Jordan is a contributor to the text, Estate Litigation, and author of numerous articles on estate matters. His articles are referred to in many of Canada’s leading estates texts.

Jordan has an J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School. He was called to the bar in 1993. Jordan is the founder and lead instructor of The Institute for Wills & Estate Education (IWEE). IWEE’s intimate and interactive workshops are held regularly.

Jordan was excellent to work with. He very clearly explained the process of redoing our wills and carefully walked us through all of our options. It was a much easier process than we had gone through previously and we truly believe we have wills in place that truly satisfy our needs and wishes.

Jordan is an outstanding estates and trusts lawyer, with extensive subject matter expertise that he effectively combines with solid, practical advice. His talents, however, do not stop there. He also makes use of leading-edge technology that he himself designed and commercialized to make the entire experience of making wills and estate planning painless, accurate, and efficient. From scheduling appointments to designating beneficiaries, Jordan's practice runs almost perfectly, especially when remote. Moving from an old-school lawyer to Jordan Atin and team is like trading in an old Buick for a new Tesla. The profession needs more like him.

Very pleased to have worked with Jordan and would recommend people working with him and Hull and Hull LLB. From the beginning they were very responsive and professional. Jordan filled in a lot of our knowledge gaps in Wills and Estates while explaining the landscape in basic terms I could follow. That does not mean we had no questions, we had many in family wills. Jordan was able to clearly cope with that. I had the feeling of having a trusted advisor who cared about us and the law. Well done!
