This lawyer exhibits the lowest scale of representation at his best. After ingesting alcoholic beverages at lunch, he would fall asleep in court. Based on direct experience, his client base are for the most part financially challenged, this is when he takes full advantage of them as their options for any legal representation is slim. Conduct your due diligence before retaining him. Check all of the legal firms he has been associated with and just wonder for one minute why he's no longer with them - Beard, Winter - Mills and Mills - etc What appears to be low cost legal representation will actually cost more as your case drags on due to the ineptness of this lawyer and if your case has financial repercussions if you lose, it would be prudent to think thoroughly if the cost savings is actually worth it. Don't let the so called calm demeanor mislead you to think that he's digging deep into his mental repertoire of good tactics to apply to your case...it just isn't there...

I have worked with Robert for 5 years through a messy case. He treats you like family and takes the cases as if they were his own. Robert is quick to respond and gives you context if he will be delayed in answering your question. He makes you feel like you are his top priority. He is a lovely person and a terrific lawyer.

I would not recommend Robert O'Brien to anyone. As I was referred to him and trusted him till the final bill came. I put up 15k in the beginning and questioned after that payment what to expect to be the final payment in which he said another 20k. My case involved a Will/Estate and dispute with siblings which was held up because of Covid. He constantly sends unnecessary emails and appointments phone calls that he uses to increase your costs. He makes promises to you and doesn't follow through. Many people that I discussed about his actions and results mentioned I should look for another lawyer during the process. I didn't and it cost me in the end 90k and with his broken promises as well a lost case.
