Dr Tannis is always rich with useful and enlightening information. He is always thinking into the future, and to make sure you experience fewer undesirable conflicts, while being ready to cope with them when they arise. Winston Tannis, whom I have known for many years, and as a philosopher and law professor, is a compassionate and thoughtful advisor and counsellor. I have discussed a number of planning issues with him over the years - he is always emotionally sensitive and very wise, kindly and knowledgeable. I like the way he tries to prevent conflict let alone how he handles conflicts when they arise. He is a nice person to work with and a truly pensive, historically conscious and current leader - like you might expect of a philosophical judge/arbitrator, and very sophisticated in dealing with the challenges of the otherwise gifted in certain mental and physical health communities.

I have dealt with Winston for many years and always find him to be cheerful yet very sobering, artistically sensitive and smart. As a computer consultant, I also aid him to keep his system's up and secured, and issues arise that we discuss from an operational perspective and in light of privacy interests, which he knows much about as both political and legal scientist. I have known Winston Tannis for over 20 years. He is a thoughtful, well spoken man, and a very good advocate for causes he takes on. He offer very good general counsel, including upon tax and marketing matters, works well with me and others, and speaks very intelligently at the dinner parties which I have helped to co-host at my establishment. He is a man of law and peace, culture and wisdom, the arts and emotional sensitivities - a compassionate professional man who knows the Middle Eastern world, the Arabic people, and of course Canadians as Canadiana and New Americana expert. Winston is like a great professor with lots of business experience and economic theory knowledge, and as a former full time corporate-commercial and real estate lawyer. He is great at discussing investment options and economic data, and thinking of structures and assisted negotiation approaches that avoid and handle conflict so you don't lose money unnecessarily. He obviously cares about your interests and your success and wants you to succeed with good intelligences guiding the way. He is also culturally intelligent and applies his cross-cultural system of understanding to avoid, address and resolve conflict. A very good general strategic advisor and business consult.

Winston is remarkable - he did his doctorate in legal sociology & ADR, & is an incredible advisor & communicator-advocate, with world leading credentials in both mediation and arbitration. He really did clerk for a Chief Justice, & his judgment shows this off, & he really did practice at a leading corporate law firm on Bay St known as Davies, & his exceptionalism & details sensitivity makes this clear. As a Professor of Law, Politics, Business & Finance, he explains matters very well, & listens very sharply - no wonder he is in the Global Who's Who & of Law & Science (top 100). He does seems to appear in Court and always wins, but as a General Advisor and asset manager, not as a continuiing practicing lawyer because he resigned from the Society, voluntarily, to do what many great lawyers have done including former CJ B McGlaghlin, Ambassador A Gottlieb, & former PM P Trudeau - he is a Mediator, Arbitrator & Consult.
