I wanted to dispute the fees: look at their email reply below. They want to charge me 2-3K just to have them show me their books see the evidence below : If you would like to dispute our legal fees, we can set down a costs hearing and they are assessed in Court before a Registrar. Should this occur, be advised that we will be seeking our additional fees for preparing those materials and speaking to the hearing which we estimate between $2k-$3k. Not only is this firm exceedingly unprofessional (drinking at the desk, vaping in the office while conversing with clients) but they don’t give two craps about their clients. They just want money and they’d prefer directly from your pockets. I know lawyers want money but after leaving baker newby (best and most expensive move I could have made) the proper lawyer I hired made it clear he would try to keep it as cost effective for me as he could, did it still cost thousands - yes, but was I given treatment like a human being - even more yes. Don’t be treated like a worthless speck at baker newby you deserve more than these horrible, rude and mean people who don’t actually care about you or your family getting results.
