Unfortunately, not an aggressive attorney or someone who was interested in resolving my complex case. More so, failed to identify and neglected to properly bring forward a huge financial issue which ended up costing me thousands of dollars and years in litigation, all of which could have been solved. Pressured me into entering an agreement that would not benefit me or my kids. He was intimidated by his opponent and believed into non-sense presented by the other party. Simply Careless!

I retained Dina Botwinick at this firm in 2018. My son is autistic and we were abused by my ex-partner, who is wealthy. The retainer for the law firm is $3000, little did I know that the retainer was a trap, it would be gone in 1 month, then they offered me a payment plan of $500/month, as my legal fee grew exponentially every month. In 2 years, they charged me almost $200k in legal fees, without obtaining any child support for my son! Even though I retained only Dina, 3 partners at the firm, continuously billed me for fraudulent "meetings and work" with the opposing counsel, that was never discussed with me. I I sent email after email to the firm, requesting that they stop billing me for work that had not been discussed with me, and all the fraudulent charges. Manhattan family court actually ordered my ex to pay this firm $100k for my legal fees, but Brian Perskin is suing me for $134k in fraudulent fees. Gabrielle is simply a tool for Brian Perskin. She had nothing useful to offer my case and no care or concern that I could detect. She looked terrified and surprised each and every time she was in court. She did not make me feel like I was legally represented. Simply useless.

Brian failed on may occasions to communicate details of my case, leading to loss after loss. He simply didn’t have the attention to detail, care or concern about my case, and lacked any legal strategy. Perhaps he knew what he was doing however, he was unable to convince me, the judge, or opposing counsel if he did. I have an active case with the NY bar and preparing for a law suit against him now. Sad that it came to this but he’s really that terrible at what he does. Buyer beware.

Was a previous client of his. Hired him because of feedback that was read was generally positive. Without going into a 10 page rant about how horrible he is, i will just say why i ended our agreement. I ended up waiting in court for over 3 1/2 hours for him to show. Not only did he not show, no call or text to say he is running late or that he couldnt make it. I ended up representing my self and dropped my custody case against the ex. Basically your typical bad service after money had transferred hands. Doesnt repond to emails until weeks later. Asked him to respond to opposing attorneys letter, tells me weeks later that he "charges" for letters. Which was happily left out when he was hired. Words from the judge "Seems Mr Perskin has abandoned his client" Save your money, go find someone that actually cares. I on the other hand have already filed a complaint against him with the new york state bar association and new york state courts.

Very poor communication, fails to inform clients of cancelled conferences, fails to inform clients of adjourned court dates (I found out a day before the court date that it was adjourned for the NEXT year). Failure to provide bills in a timely manner, had to demand to get a billing statement for THREE months. Overbilled for the court appearance of 35 minutes and billed it as 2.5 HOURS. Just save yourself some grief and find someone else. Don't get fooled by the "free consultation"
