I am in the middle of a chapter 13 bankruptcy. I am not as confident as I'd like that I understand the process at this point. (ie. one week before meeting with the trustee)

Firm was slow in responding to communication. When they needed additional information from me, instead of informing me by phone, email, or letter, they waited for me to contact them. In some cases, it took as long as two weeks for them to respond to phone calls. As a result, the bankruptcy, which they told me would be completed entirely by October 2009, was not completed until Sept. 15, 2010!

My lawyer left in the middle of process and I was never assigned a new one. Person who represented me in court did not know what she was doing. The judge even asked her if she was new at this. It was difficult to get a response.
