About R. Jeffrey "Jeff" Field

Jeff Field has spent his entire career handling bankruptcy cases for clients in Georgia. He has more than 30 years of experience successfully representing individuals throughout the state in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.Jeff attended Berry College on a basketball scholarship and was student government president when he graduated in 1981. He earned his Doctorate of Jurisprudence from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1984, where he served on the Moot Court Board and Trial Advocacy Board. In 1985, Jeff began his career in consumer bankruptcy working for Paul C. Parker, who was an early leader in advertising bankruptcy as a helpful solution to many financial problems. Jeff was instrumental in helping Mr. Parker expand his bankruptcy practice from metropolitan Atlanta to representing individuals throughout all of North Georgia. Jeff left Mr. Parker’s firm in 1993 to found Jeff Field & Associates.

Jeff is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of Alabama. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District and Middle District of Georgia. He is a member of the Metro Atlanta Bankruptcy Group and National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He also serves on the Board of Visitors of Berry College.

Working with Jeff from day 1 was so easy. This process can be very overwhelming. We met with another lawyer in Athens and was so disappointed at the false info we were given and the poor treatment. Jeff treated us with dignity and respect. He was there to explain thoroughly the process and was so patient with questions. He gave us great advice as well. He would call us back right away and really helped us feel in control of the situation. I would highly recommend him and his team. You won't be disappointed. Truly a good and one of a kind man.

I had an Impeccable experience with Mr. Fields and his associates! I cannot express my gratitude to them. I called for my free consultation and got an appointment that same week. Mr. Fields answered all my questions and listened to my situation thoroughly and advised me with what best fit my needs for me and my family. He has an excellent staff, especially Mr. Chase Butler who communicated with me throughout the whole process which only took 2 months! They are professional and caring. I highly recommend calling them!

Please read about my great experience with Jeff Field and Associates in Athens from my Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in 2006 to today, SIX YEARS LATER in 2012! In 2006 after much distress, I had no choice but to file a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy after a divorce, dissolution of a business and the wrath of the economic downturn. I actually "interviewed" several attorneys and chose Jeff Field and Associates. During my filing, Jeff thoroughly explained the procedure and thoughtfully answered all of my questions.

He was courteous and explained the entire process to us step by step even as we were in the courtroom. Since we were not the first case, he took the opportunity to use the first few people called to tell us what was happening as it was happening. We were well prepared by the time our turn came around. They were very courteous and very comforting.
