Billing Discrepancies & NO TRANSPARENCY! I removed her from counsel due to billing discrepancies and lack of transparency. She was over charging me for emails and not providing backup for the charges. I remove her as counsel and asked her to refund my partial retainer amount and she advised that I had to sign a release document. The document basically stated that I wouldn’t write a bad review about her or say anything negative. I politely told her I never signed anything to retain your service and do not feel comfortable signing anything from your office. She then charged my retainer amount for drafting the release document and refunded the difference. Steer clear of hiring her for anything, you will regret it in the end.
***IF YOU'RE EVEN CONSIDERING USING HER SERVICES, PICK ANOTHER ATTORNEY!!! I SURELY WISHED I HAD!!!*** I chose Ms. Royster out of several attorneys, even those who my agent had worked with in the past. Her fees were on the higher end, but I decided to give her my business because I wanted someone similar to myself to represent me as a first time home buyer. My experience with Ms. Royster started off relatively good and then it dramatically declined as my real estate transaction progressed. She provided very little guidance on the process, did not keep my agent in the loop. On the day of my scheduled close, my paperwork was a mess!!! Between her errors of incorrectly drafting the sales addendum and the title company she suggested working inefficiently, my closing had to be pushed out. She then had the audacity to invoice me an extra almost $1,000 the morning of my new closing date. She is very unethical and I really regret giving her my business. Dealing with her was a nightmare.
