If your attorney has stopped practicing, you can't be given a new atty. You have to accept a new atty and have the right to find one of your own. However, if you have received funds during the case, your payments could go up so this is not irregular.

Is the credit union likely to repossess my travel trailer included in a chapter 7?

In my opinion, it's unlikely that the credit union will repossess the trailer. Used trailers are hard to sell and expensive to haul around and store. Since I have no familiarity with your credit union, I have no idea if they will settle for $2,000 to release their lien.

Can bankruptcy be filed due to a divorce if there was a bankruptcy already filed 5 years ago?

Answered by attorney Christopher J. Kane
Bankruptcy lawyer at Christopher J. Kane, P.C.
If he filed a Chapter 7 five years ago, he can now file a Chapter 13 but cannot file a Chapter 7. You have to wait 4 years after the filing of a Chapter 7 to file Chapter 13, and 8 years to file another Chapter 7.
