Berry & Associates is a law firm established in 1989 with an office in Atlanta, GA. At this office location, there are 6 lawyers practicing bankruptcy, fair credit reporting act, fair debt collection practices act and 50 other areas of law.
Susan Senay (Shiptenko) of this firm did a really shoddy job in terms of accuracy and action items. In addition, she shoulders the blame onto the client when it is her lackluster effort that gets the client in trouble. She did not respond to email for months at a time. I cannot recommend this firm.
Poor communication with us and creditors. Did not file or follow up with a creditor with proof of payments. AND charged us a fee for their mistake
UNPROFESSIONAL IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR YOU SO CALLED FIRM!!! I would give you ZERO stars if I could!!!! Y’all don't email, mail or send anything to a notify your client that you backed out on a case?!? the judge has to tell me! The day of the hearing!! Y’all are so unprofessional it’s insane!!! THE WASTE OF TIME THESE JOKERS DO!!! these are pathetic lawyers. don't waste your time people!! they waste yours! And are cowards that are not professionals at all to tell you they backed out…..
I am currently a client of Berry & Assoc, I filed bankruptcy in 2015. In February of this year, I reached out to my case manager to see where I was in my case. I was excited to hear that I only had about 2 payments to clear my account. Upon making what I thought was my last payment, I was later informed that I had an additional 3 to 4 months of payments. Now that I'm nearing the end of those payments, I was recently informed that I have an additional 2 to 3 payments. This has been the most horrific situation. My mother is older and ALWAYS worked and paid her bills. After 25 yrs with her employer was suddenly let go after an acquisition and couldn’t pay her bills. She’s almost 80, she filed in 2016, still not through this disaster and it takes acts of congress to even establish a communication, much less any type of clarity. I’ve known people who have filed bankruptcy. I have never seen such a sad handling of a bankruptcy. I honestly feel it’s abuse or neglect, possibly both. Greed is the only explanation I find!
Takes her days to respond
This is one of the most unprofessional and horrible lae firms ever. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME. They took my fiances disability case and contacted us twice in 6 montbs. They called and left a message aski g my fiance to call and verify his info. We both called them numerous times to verify . They only have an answering machine and no one ever, ever calls you back even when you leave a message. Then we got letter stating they were no longer representing us since we never called them back.
My husband was their client. We tried for at least 3 weeks to get in touch and they never called back. Meanwhile he was.initially denied his disability. They made their decision around 10/14/18 (ss). Yesterday my husband got a letter from ss saying that my lawyers had withdrawn from my case. And BERRY and associated never called us to tell him that he had to get a new doc. I wouldn't send my cat there.
These attorneys dropped the ball totally! They failed to submit current information to SS and have refused to answer our calls to discuss the unfavorable decision.
Please look to a local firm to assist you.
I won my SSI Disability claim on my first filing. Berry & Associates did absolutely nothing in this endeavor, I did all the work. I even called to ask them if they wanted copies of my SSI paperwork I was receiving and they said no. They told me to hold onto it until I lost my case. They took $690.00 from me. I felt I had been robbed. I will never, never, never recommend them and wish I could file some kind of complaint.
