I have known Paul Hagen for several decades. He is a serious, capable and very knowledgeable environmental lawyer. I have not been his client but rather a colleague with Paul on the Executive Committee of the State Bar of California, and later the California Lawyers Association. Our collaboration has centered upon bringing current and practical developments in environmental law to our membership. In that process, Paul has shown excellent legal acumen and sound judgment about the current law, its likely evolution, and how to serve the public well. In my experience, he has also demonstrated a quick grasp of factual situations and the goals of our colleagues on the Committee. These professional skills would directly translate to effective representation, in my judgment. In summary, he's a fine lawyer who I can recommend unreservably.
