Davis Miles, PLLC is a law firm established in 2002 with an office in Albuquerque, NM. At this office location, there are 15 lawyers practicing business law, corporate law, criminal law and 28 other areas of law.
They overbilled then they sat on their hands and refused to finish I fired them and then I filed a report with the attorney general. Anybody else plead to you so the same. Over billing, then they took my trust fund and refused to give me any documentation as to where it went. Then they sat on their hand so they can collect that $1,000 a month to be under to-do list. Marshall Hunt turned out to be a pretty bad lawyer. Nice guy but he left a lot to be desired. It felt like he was constantly outwitted by the other side and that maybe this was his first case he was allowed to handle on his own. I would not recommend anyone use him or Davis Miles.
My biggest regret was hiring Marshall Hunt for representation. I had a really bad experience with Marshall and Davis Miles for almost 2 years. He missed deadlines to gather important evidence, had difficulty getting things done in a timely manner, and was constantly outmaneuvered/walked over by opposing counsel. Marshall seemed to be lazy and it was difficult to get him to focus on my case (it took him months to get a simple motion filed). Most the time he appeared to be going through the motions to collect a paycheck. If you are looking for an attorney who is both diligent and passionate about your case, Marshall Hunt is not the one for you. Marshall and Davis Miles caused more headaches and mistakes than they did good.
Marshall Hunt and his team at Davis Miles are borderline incompetent. Marshall failed to name the correct party in our counterclaim, he also failed to address this concern when it was brought up multiple times throughout the litigation. He admitted to my new counsel that he was not sure who the proper members of my company was, despite it being fairly obvious after receiving discovery. I spent almost $90K and 2 years working with Marshall, to end up having to fire them right before trial. A basic business attorney should be able to accurately identify the correct parties in a claim. He did not request valuable evidence I asked for like bank statements and credit card statements. They did not serve our default judgement correctly, resulting in our default judgement being set aside. During the middle of mediation I offered a buyout to the other side and Marshall looked at me dumbfounded stating "I didn't even think of you offering a buyout".
$7,000.00 for absolutely nothing! Wanted a divorce Douglas Gardner said Legal Separation would be as good to nip my spouse's from my being accountablefor his debts!. I was charged for every single thing I do mean everything! He'd sit on phone saying nothing as I'm being charged out the kazoo and when he did talk nothing would be said. I will turn in to BBB etc I got absolutely nothing not a single solitary thing. I'm on fixed income he knew that! Seven thousand dollars. I asked what did I get where is this? No response. NOTHING was accomplished other than I'm broke broke. Do not retain the rip offs you'll be sorry. Those high reviews are total bull.

took days to get return communication, late for court date first time by 15 minutes, late for court second time by 2 hours; TWO HOURS. His response, "you aren't my only client". Clearly, my time is of no value.

My attorney lost my case for spousal support when the opposing party did not provide bank statements. I am positive that his mother is giving him at least $1,000 a month.He lied under oath saying he did not get money from mother. My soon to be X is an engineer who is unemployed. His salary is from $60,000 to $100,000. My salary is $40,000. I have a restraining order for the second year.
I just filed BK and can not afford to pay for stupid services such as $420 to deliver spousal support check
