About Denbigh law Center-Lasris, Walsh & Associate, P.C.

Serving the legal needs of the Virginia Peninsula since 1982; Full Service Law firm in the areas of Bankruptcy, Family, Criminal and Personal Injury Law matters

Denbigh law Center-Lasris, Walsh & Associate, P.C. was founded in 1982. Then, as now, a central goal of the firm was to effectively serve the needs of our clients by providing quality legal services at reasonable prices. To this end, the firm adopted a generic name that identified its primary geographic location. The firm also took what (at that time) was a dramatic step of advertising its services in the Yellow Pages and other print media to let people know that quality legal services were available to everybody. By its generic name, presence in the media, and a "street front" neighborhood location, Denbigh law Center-Lasris, Walsh & Associate, P.C. tried to convey the message that a client in need of services could feel comfortable entering our doors. It worked.

Where possible, we offered fixed prices for the more routine work. That way the client would know what the total "cost" of services will be. We will quote prices for routine work over the phone and put them into writing at the initial consultation. Variances from the fixed price occur only upon exceptional circumstances and only with the consent of the client. (No surprise billings!)

A client who retains an attorney on an hourly basis will be encouraged to do as much of the leg work as possible him- or herself. No attempt is made to pad total fees charged by doing "hourly" work that could easily be accomplished by the client, unless the client has directed otherwise.

Computers have made it easier to hold the line on costs. The firm has always been at the cutting edge of technology in word-processing and document production. Computers have also led to greater accuracy in preparation of numbers-intensive practice areas such as bankruptcy and domestic relations litigation. The firm is committed to this technology. The firm is also committed to passing the savings derived from technology back to the client.

Everything worked out better that I first expected thanks to the professional help that was offered to me. The fees were reasonable and they were great to work with, they spent a lot of time with me and they valued my time.

Hired Law Firm

Overall they were pretty good, I had a bad experience with a Attorney I used in Ohio when I lived there. So they were absolutely wonderful to me here, I would highly recommend them. They are easy to deal with, they are honest, and they tell you whats going on, they never leave you out of the loop.

I absolutely recommend Ms Curry for your legal needs. I feel that she was on top of all things in my situation and even some that I was not aware of. I don't see how anyone would regret using her services.

Hired Attorney Roy Lasris

Gave incomplete information at the time my Separation Agreement was drawn up. Advised that my husband would be held legally responsible for paying off a credit card, when the card was under my name. Now that he isn't paying for it, my credit is the one being affected and the credit card company is under no obligation to contact him for payment. When I contacted the firm for followup advice, before I could even explain my situation, they required debit/credit card info so I could be charged.
