The firm did an excellent job handling my construction defects case against the builder of my new home and settling the issues in a manner that made sense and resulted in a good outcome for my family.

We retained Oliver Hughes LLC to solve a dispute with a contractor. Both Nils and Ashley were very professional communicators and kept us apprised of developments in the case. We were extremely pleased with the settlement agreement that they were able to reach with the contractor. We would definitely use them again.

I worked with Ashley and her associate Niles on an issue I had with insurance fraud and poor workmanship by a local contractor. They wrote a demand letter for repayment (in the thousands) for the poor workmanship. When the contractor got the letter, we were paid by him within two weeks. We were able to avoid the huge legal expenses and headaches that could have come. Ashley listened to me so thoroughly, she remembered everything I said from previous conversations (what a good memory and shows caring attitude) and supervised my “case” closely while Niles took over some parts. When speaking with Ashley, it was like speaking with another girlfriend. I haven’t had another legal matter yet and I hope not to but if I do, I will not hesitate to go back to this law office! Ashley is sharp, always available for her clients, and aggressive!

I hired Oliver Hughes to help with an unresponsive contractor I hand contracted with to finish the basement of a new house I purchased in April 2020. Ultimately, I had to terminate the contract with the builder, and Oliver Hughes handled everything. They are knowledgeable in this area and their expertise gave me peace of mind. It was a very stressful time and I still feel much gratitude for their guidance and assistance. I received great service for the amount charged and would definitely hire this firm again, if a need arose.

Working with Richard Evins and his firm has been great! I found him in 2018 after finally deciding to take the legal route in collecting funds that were owed to me from an ex-boyfriend. I spent a fortune on this very nasty, unethical firm. They represent whoever pays them the most, not who hired them. They had no intention of winning my case or settling it. I highly recommend that you avoid them or you'll pay dearfly.

They milked me for two and a half years. Constantly rewriting discovery. This case was about a fraudulent construction company that did major damage to my home. It was easily proven. They had no license or insurance. Oliver Hughes had no intention of winning this case. Ashley should be disbarred.

This firm lost my case eventhough I had a plethora of evidence to demonstrate that I was robbed by a contractor. In court appearance was poor. In court Ashley and Melanie weren't prepared. I went to court with a judgement issued in my favor and the other side outsmarted both of these attorney's and they basically stood there baffled. Additionally, they aren't proficient and what seems to be the finer legal points. They put no effort into being aggressive for you, the client, other than issuing invoices for payment. Opposing attorney's can easily out maneuver both Ashley and Melanie because thats exactly what happened in my case. It seems they are more in tune with playing ball with the other side than agressively representing their own client.

Imagine not wanting to select a star, but having to give one, just to leave a review! I secured representation from Oliver Hughes LLC almost two years ago. They initially seemed like a dream team. As the trial date approached (almost 1.5yrs later), the dream began to feel more like a nightmare. I needed help after a contractor failed to finish a quality job in my home (despite receiving payment). I provided photos, receipts, and other artifacts at the onset of the case. As the trial approached (nearly 1.5 years later), I was asked to resubmit the same evidence that I had already supplied. I wouldn't hear from my representing attorney, Amber Oliver (to discuss my case), until the day before trial. This "prep" lasted for less than 5 minutes and did not involve many specific questions about my complaint.
