Melissa devotes the majority of her time at MLN to defending against damages outlined in life care plans and litigation issues related to the collateral source rule.
Melissa is a graduate of New York University and recently received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Hofstra University School of Law. While in law school, Melissa was selected to work in the asylum clinic. Prior to joining MLN, Melissa worked at a wills, trusts, and estate firm where she managed probate proceedings, litigated will contests, drafted wills and irrevocable trusts and handled real estate transactions. Melissa also worked with various firms and assisted in writing their motions on multiple areas of law (labor and employment, criminal, negligence, family law) in both state and federal court. Melissa is a member of the New York Bar Association. She is admitted to practice before the Courts of the States of New York and New Jersey, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern District of New York.
