Travis Rentz counsels clients in matters related to property acquisitions and sales, leasing, finance, permitting, operation, management, development and redevelopment, zoning, land use planning and approvals for a wide range of property types, including commercial, retail, industrial, residential and mixed-use projects.
Travis’ practice includes the representation of land owners, developers, buyers and sellers, tenants and landlords, lenders and borrowers and owners of commercial and residential real estate operations, including apartment complexes, office buildings and shopping centers, and he has substantial experience representing national homebuilders.
Travis assists clients in complex, multifaceted real estate activities and financing transactions. His assistance to clients runs the gamut from drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and loan documents, closing documents, reviewing due diligence materials, including title and survey, leases, procurement of land use approvals and entitlements, drafting of community association and condominium documents, and strategic planning with the client and other consultants to achieve client objectives. Travis’ experience also includes representing borrowers and lenders in connection with simple and complex financing, including construction and development loans, permanent mortgage financing, government assisted financing, and interest rate swap transactions. Travis has negotiated loan documents, assisted clients with assembling due diligence materials and coordinated closings.
Travis also assists clients with general business and corporate matters, including entity formation and business structuring, asset management, and drafting and negotiating general business contracts, asset purchase agreements, buy sell agreements, and he acts as general counsel for several small corporations.
