CJ Laycock helped us when my son was a victim of a car crash involving an impaired driver. He was extremely nice and responded to emails/calls/texts immediately, he explained everything to us, and was able to settle our case without my son having to do a deposition or anything, and we got much more money than I’d hoped for, which went to his college fund. I had the pleasure of having his representation while he was a public defender in Hillsborough County. He was compassionate and non judgemtal, which made it very easy to talk to him. He was not like the others who were overwhelmed by the case loads. He actually came back to my case on the day of trial, after being assigned to a different courtroom, to finish what he started. My judge was determined to put my case to trial the following monday and not allow an extension to have an evidence suspression hearing. After threatening to fire the new PD Mr Laycock showed up monday and explained to the judge that I had had 3 PD and none had ever scheduled the suppression hearing . He took responsibility for this and pleaded to have 1 more extension and getting that extension he put in for the hearing, we won and I was able to go back to work. He is excellant attorney. And he does think outside the box. He is motivated and just won't accept the loss.
