Hired Attorney

I am a close friend of one of Mrs. O'Brien's clients. This friend of mine is in a difficult custody battle with an abuse ex. My friend has done everything right and is doing an amazing job as a hardworking single parent. Mrs. O'Brien is undependable, at best. She struggles to return calls to her client (even when there is a clear emergency). She misses appearances in court. She overlooks obvious responses from the opposition and sets unrealistic expectations. On top of all that, Mrs. O'Brien is expensive. But when you're in a difficult custody battle with an abusive, litigious ex, there's great pressure to stay with an attorney that is deeply familiar with your complex case. Until then, I'd strongly advise potential clients to go elsewhere.
