Silverblatt & Associates is a law firm with an office in Wilkes-Barre, PA. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing family law, divorce, child custody and 7 other areas of law.
My case involved custody and relocation. Attorney Silverblatt and Nina Decosmo did an excellent job representing my case. They fought for my son's safety and our relocation to Virginia. They were very professional and patient. I highly recommend Attorney Silverblatt and Associates!!
They are always away from the office. They charge thousands of Dollars just to forward letters. Some months ago I called to complaint about their service and they charged me for that call too. They sent me an email with a notice to pay $1000 dollars that I owed them; I paid for it in less than two business days later and then, the next day... after more than two years paying thousands of Dollars they decided to withdraw just seven days before my Deposition appointment with my Ex-wife.
This attorney did not follow my wishes to settle the divorce. He told me not to tell him what to do and he wouldn't be my attorney anymore. He charged me for his not being at a hearing because he had to attend another client's hearing. He charged a closing fee when there really was no work done. Basically he stole my money, did little work and left me hanging at a master's hearing by myself because he wouldn't settle the case.
Warning!!!!!!!!!!! Charges extreme amount of money for paperwork when nothing is actually accomplished. Went to masters hearing and he didn't file the paperwork on the record, so there was nothing to stand up in court with. He made sure he charged his fee of 1200.00 for that day which did nothing for me but set me back another 4 months to get a new hearing. I spent 7000.00 with him and had to get another lawyer who did every thing in 3 month and 2000.00 Please learn from my experience.
Attorney Silverblatt should be disbarred! I've never seen such gross negligence from a supposed professional. Arthur took my money, then lied to me, invented fees for personal reasons, missed court hearings, never paid my court fees, etc, etc, etc. As soon as I told him about how disappointed I was, and told him if he didn't make things right with the court, and my billing, I would be contacting the Bar Association. He then withdrew from representing me and wrote a nasty letter to the court about me to cover his incompetent actions. I have all the proof that I will be sending to the PA. Bar Association.
