Hired Law Firm

Trip Shawver is a diamond amongst coal. He is a very professional man who defies the typical terms associated with Lawyers, Attorneys & Mediators. He is honest, straightforward, caring, compassionate, hardworking & does not give up or surrender! He is retired from the Air Force as a pilot and is a believer. He carries all of the best of those worlds into his law practice. Trip has represented me throughout the years in divorce/child custody, car accident, mediation and a wrongful eviction case.

Awful! At first I was very grateful because as a single mom recovering from PTSD I don't have a lot of extra money. I truly thought he cared and wanted to help. He promised we would get time back with my daughter and when I wanted to give into my ex and abusers offer, Trip and his legal assistant convinced me to fight for what I deserved. That was almost a year ago. I've signed three different motions that Trip just never filed. It takes forever to get a call back, he doesn't listen to my concerns and my ex has been basically extorting me for money for more time with our child, Trip has done nothing but try to get me to keep the peace and... Well he hasn't explained what else I should do or when he will do anything to help. He also changed his pricing and fees...( Not that you can get an itemized bill to save your life.) and tries to charge you for doing nothing but wasting your time. DO NOT HIRE!!!!! If he has a method to his actions and actually helps I will change my review.

All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
